A decrease in sunlight during the winter often means carb cravings due to a lack of seratonin, the “feel good” hormone. Seratonin is produced in three ways: Sunshine, exercise and carbohydrates! Get outside as much as you can; even on a cloudy day, you can get quite a bit of sunshine on your eyelids and a little protein will give you more energy and help stop the carb cravings.
