How Grape Juice Can Help You Loose Weight

It is very difficult to diet when you are hungry and many diet plans and weight loss programs leave you hungry and “wanting more”. The following study shows you how to eat less easily and effortlessly. All you have to do is remember to drink the juice–which you can buy at any supermarket. Just think, weight loss with NO special foods to buy, no plans to follow, no dieting restrictions. Weight loss occurs when you eat less and move more.

Here’s the science behind this plan and how it works:

Judith Rodin of Yale University compared the hunger-curbing abilities of plain water and three lemonade-flavored drinks containing 1) aspartame; 2) 200 calories worth of glucose; and 3) 200 calories worth of fructose (fruit sugar).

She randomly assigned each of 24 men and women, aged 22-50, to drink 16.9 ounces of one of the 4 drinks, served at room temperature. About 40 minutes later, participants selected lunch from a buffet and were told to eat until “comfortably full”. This was repeated several times over the next few months where each diner returned to drink down a different beverage each time and then lunched at the same buffet.

Most subjects ate about as many calories after downing non-caloric aspartame-sweetened lemonade as they did after drinking plain water, Rodin reported in the March (sometime in the 1990′s) edition of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. After drinking lemonade sweetened with 200 calories worth of glucose, they usually consumed about 10-15% fewer calories.

But the most dramatic appetite suppression followed consumption of the drink sweetened with fructose. The 20-40% fewer calories generally eaten after drinking fructose far more than compensated for the 200 calories the drink contained. Also, earlier studies by Rodin indicated that the appetite suppression seen in the new study may hold true if a fructose sweetened snack (or beverage) is consumed ever up to 21/2 hours before mealtime.

The fructose-sweetened drink appeared to offer a second helpful dividend: It somehow led subjects to select meals with significantly less fat.”

Grape juice seems to work best to get the above results: A sip before lunch and dinner and 1 ounce in a glass of water to sip during the evening if evening snacking is a problem. Living Lite Weight Loss Students have reported a significant decrease in their caloric consumption.

Swimsuit season. Those two little words can strike terror into the heart of the bravest, most competent American woman. However, if approached correctly swimsuit season can be significantly less traumatic this year.

Never, under any circumstances, try on swimsuits at the store. Store mirrors and lighting can be far too unflattering for your delicate psyche. Pick out a couple of suits, at least one in a size larger than you think you wear, buy them and take them home to try on. Yes, this will involve returning at least one of them, but you will feel so much better about yourself. If you’ve ever had the experience of trying on several suits, all of which “made you look fat” and leaving the store in tears, you’ll appreciate the comfort of your home even more.

On your way home, stop by a Target, K-Mart or Wal-Mart. You are about to make the best purchase of your life! For around $20 you can buy a mirror that measures about 12 inches wide by abut 48 inches tall. It is meant to be adhered to a wall or door. Do not adhere it. Lean it against a wall of the room in which you will be trying on your swimsuits. Make sure that the bottom of the mirror is at least 12 inches away from the wall; it’s tilting backwards. A mirror tipped in that fashion will make you look long and slim. Then, and only then, are you ready to try on your suits.

It is said that “your perception determines your reality.” What the mirror does is help you shift your perception/reality.

Research has shown that most women “see” themselves as heavier than they really are. All we’re doing now is readjusting your “sight” to one that may be more reality based.

Now go get that fabulous bathing suit and wear it proudly–and stop dieting!

Keep these in mind each day and watch how easily the weight comes off!

1. Drive by the drive thru.
2. When dining out, select an appetizer instead of an entree for your entire meal.
3. Split meals at restaurants.
4. Remember, doggie bags were made for thin people.
5. When dining out, ask your server to remove the bread or chips from the table before you eat any. We often fill up on the bread or chips but order and eat a mean anyway, because “that’s why we’re here.”
6. Sit down while you eat–and turn off the TV. Otherwise, you’re just “recreational eating” and that makes you fat!
7. Don’t eat in the car. Yeah, I know, it’s the only time you have. Okay, here’s the deal: You can eat in the car only the food you pack. Get a little insulated bag and put into it: Fresh fruit, string cheese, some almonds in a baggie, a can of apple or grape juice–you get the idea. Deal?
8. Clean out the car. Treat yourself to a car wash. See how long you can keep it clean.
9. If you haven’t worn something for a year, give it away. As you get rid of what no longer works in your life, you may find yourself doing the same with too much food.
10. Practice doing absolutely nothing for 1 or 2 minutes at a time several times a day. We often eat just to be doing something. Many of us used to smoke for the same reason and quit smoking and let food fill that need to be busy. You will probably forget, so put a Post-It on your refrigerator or monitor to remind yourself to lean back, take a deep breath in, relax your body, close your eyes and just be still for a moment.
